Well, for the past couple of days Austin (and most of Texas) has been under a winter storm. You’d think that, being in the south, Texas’ winter storms would consist of cooler weather with some rain and maybe strong winds. Guess again! We have had freezing rain and snow and the freezing rain has been bad enough that the majority of the city has shut down. All the schools were closed today, Kirk worked from home (Dell campuses were closed) and we didn’t put a single mile on our cars.

Okay, so the accumulation was less than a half an inch, but still we had snow. So what did we do? We took Rip outside to have his first snow experience. We didn’t have any mittens for Rip so the outdoor adventure was pretty short, but fun none-the-less. Here’s a short video of the outdoor highlights:
